Overview & Compliance

Rally Appraisal provides professional real estate appraisal services. We are fully committed to protecting the privacy and security of all Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI) and confidential information entrusted to us by our clients (lenders) and individual consumers (borrowers). Our practices comply with the Financial Privacy Rule of the GrammLeach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the FTC Safeguards Rule, and the Ethics Rule of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Collection of Information

We collect only the information necessary to complete the appraisal assignment. This may include property details, borrower contact information, purchase contracts, lease data and property access details provided by the lender, real estate agents, or the property owner.

Use and Non-Disclosure of Information
  • No Sharing/Selling: We do not sell, rent, lease, or share NPI or consumer data with any non-affiliated third parties for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes.
  • Strict Confidentiality: In strict accordance with the USPAP Ethics Rule, all assignment results (including our final opinion of value) and confidential data provided by the client are kept strictly confidential.
  • Authorized Disclosures Only: We do not disclose confidential information or assignment results to anyone other than:
    1. The client (the ordering lender) and designated intended users.
    2. State appraiser regulatory agencies.
    3. Third parties authorized by due process of law (e.g., administrative or court subpoenas).
    4. A duly authorized professional peer-review committee.
Data Security and Safeguards

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect confidential information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:

  • Digital Security: Digital files, appraisal reports, and communications are stored on secure networks, utilizing data encryption both in transit and at rest. Access to systems is restricted to authorized personnel via strong password controls.
  • Physical Security: Any physical files or printed consumer information are kept in restricted-access, secure areas.
  • SMS/Mobile Privacy: If mobile telephone numbers are collected for the sole purpose of scheduling property inspections, mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates under any circumstances.

Record Retention

We retain appraisal work files and associated confidential data in accordance with the USPAP Record Keeping Rule (a minimum of five years, or at least two years after the final disposition of any judicial proceeding in which testimony was given). Following this mandatory period, physical records are securely destroyed. Digital records remain securely stored for long-term archival purposes and are only decommissioned when changes in technology render the data obsolete or inaccessible.
