Our practices comply with the Financial Privacy Rule of the GrammLeach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the FTC Safeguards Rule, and the Ethics Rule of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Collection of InformationWe collect only the information necessary to complete the appraisal assignment. This may include property details, borrower contact information, purchase contracts, lease data and property access details provided by the lender, real estate agents, or the property owner.
Use and Non-Disclosure of InformationWe maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect confidential information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:
We retain appraisal work files and associated confidential data in accordance with the USPAP Record Keeping Rule (a minimum of five years, or at least two years after the final disposition of any judicial proceeding in which testimony was given). Following this mandatory period, physical records are securely destroyed. Digital records remain securely stored for long-term archival purposes and are only decommissioned when changes in technology render the data obsolete or inaccessible.
